We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to help support our galleries and the CoSHOP during open hours. This is a low-pressure, welcoming environment—ideal for anyone who enjoys spending time with art and engaging with the public in a relaxed setting.

Time Commitment:
We ask for a commitment of at least one 3.5-hour shift per week for a minimum of three months. Open hours are Wednesday–Saturday, 11 am–6 pm, and shift times are 11 am–2:30 pm and 2:30–6 pm. Volunteers are responsible for their own parking. There is ample metered street parking on W. 4th Street and Pretzinger Lane, and there is garage parking at the Reibold Garage, located at 25 W. 5th Street, Dayton, OH 45422.

What You’ll Do:
Volunteer responsibilities are light and include:

• Greeting visitors and helping maintain a welcoming atmosphere
• Keeping an eye on the galleries and shop
• Assisting staff as needed with light duties, such as checking out customers in our shop, answering the phone, etc.

Given the nature of our space, visitors are generally thoughtful and easygoing. When things are quiet (which they often are), you’re welcome—encouraged, even—to bring a book, sketch, or work on something creative during your shift.

Want to volunteer and work on a larger project?

Volunteers interested in taking on larger or more involved projects are encouraged to get involved beyond weekly gallery shifts. Opportunities may include researching exhibiting artists, assisting with marketing and communications, supporting public programs and events, and helping with a variety of day-to-day organizational projects. There is always meaningful work to do, and we welcome additional help from individuals with a wide range of interests and experience.
