SUMMARY:Member’s Spotlight Exhibition: Amy Dolan: Along the Path
DESCRIPTION:April Member’s Spotlight Exhibition features Springboro-based artist Amy Dolan.\nOpening Reception: April 1, 6-8 pm\nClosing Reception: April 24, 4-6 pm\n \nBorn and raised in Upstate NY, Amy Dolan graduated from the University of Dayton with a BFA focus on painting, pottery, and sculpture. The beauty of upstate and the Finger Lakes region of New York greatly influenced her love of light and color in the natural world.\nAmy worked in the Advertising field for over 25 years as a designer and account executive. She also has experience teaching at the Dayton Art Institute and taught independent art classes encouraging young artists. She has enjoyed creating jewelry, paintings, and sculpture, while now focusing primarily on painting. She is an active artist in the Dayton community, a member of the Contemporary Dayton, Dayton Society of Artists, and the University of Dayton Alumni Artists. She has participated in many local and regional shows, and several national exhibitions.\nHer creative process starts with a black canvas, research, and time spent reflecting to achieve a loose and expressive feel to the works. She is always working towards learning and forever exploring new techniques.\n
